PROJECT INTRO

A conceptual two-poster series exploring transformation, identity, and dark visual storytelling. Each piece was built to function as a standalone cinematic statement while maintaining a cohesive visual language across the series.

THE CONCEPT

Most student print work demonstrates technical ability. This project was built to demonstrate something harder to teach conceptual thinking. The two posters explore the same thematic territory from different angles. A burned self-portrait examines identity under pressure, what remains when everything exterior is stripped away. The Grimm character design for a fictional film explores mortality and presence, using the grim reaper not as a horror trope but as a figure of quiet authority.

THE CHALLENGE
Cinematic poster design lives or dies on atmosphere. Technical execution matters but it serves something larger, the feeling a poster creates before a single word is read. The challenge was building that atmosphere from scratch without a film reference,

OUTCOME
The result is a cohesive two-poster series that demonstrates conceptual range beyond brand and packaging work. Strong photo manipulation, atmospheric composition, and thematic intention working together as a unified body of print work.
